I realized during my studies of Pharmaceutical Sciences that biochemistry and molecular biology are what interest me by far the most. The structures and interactions of biomolecules and how to manipulate them or use them for medicine is extremely fascinating to me. I believe we live in a time where new technologies and new areas of research such as synthetic biology or proteomics are quickly emerging and growing and I am personally excited to be a part of it.
During this pandemic my favorite hobby became to find a new hobby every week. Currently I am learning to play the bouzouki which is a Greek type of guitar. I do have permanent interests too though, such as biking and literature, especially Austrian and Russian literature. Next summer I hope to spend some time in Greece again, which is my family’s homeland.
